A Heart With Wings has as it's main purpose 'The Yoga of the Voice': to sing to discover one's self while discovering enchanted places in Cappadocia, Turkey, on our search for the Winged Heart...
We will find ourselves in the churches of the Byzantine monastery of Keslik, between the columns of the White Church in Rose Valley and in the silence of the Monastery of Kizil Çukur where we will sleep under the stars and be woken up at dawn by hot-air balloons, and we can fly one too! The ideal of becoming master of oneself through the sound of one's own voice, to follow the call of liberation and vocal trance music research of the Dervish Sufi of the Winged Heart! During this week long trip through Cappadocia there will be the opportunity to practice with Igor and Arianna and learn more about yourself and each other. This year, for those who do know how to play, bring your (lightweight) didgeridoo to join Igor in playing in magical places sculpted in the rocks ... |

We'll meet the Dervishes and, if possible, try to meditate, sing and play with them.
We will walk in the valleys at night because we have chosen this week
just in time for the Full Moon, which will add magic to the charm of the
place.
The great kindness of the people we meet and our guide will make us appreciate our journey led through the historical eras and the arts known since thousands of years as the production of ceramics and pottery, weaving kilims and carpets, and ebru, a magical technique of painting on fabric through the water. We will be traveling among the most beautiful places of Cappadocia, always away from mass tourism, except when we visit the most famous sites protected by UNESCO. We'll change accommodations in four places: Mustafapaşa, Soganli Rose Valley and Uchisar. |
We will sleep in small family run guesthouses, in double or triple rooms with private bathroom. We will stay two nights in a Byzantine monastery without electricity where we will sleep outdoors on a terrace or in the frescoed churches thousand years ago, where we have a bath and shower in common, but the uniqueness of the place will pay that little bit of adaptability that we need (who wants may sleep inside).
We will have fabulous breakfasts with fresh fruit, cheese and honey made by the families of the villages we visit. Each evening we will taste something new, always freshly cooked, our dishes are rich in vegetables, legumes and grains, those who wish can have a vegetarian or vegan menu. We will be accompanied by an official guide licensed by the Ministry of Tourism and technical management will be entrusted to a local agency. |

Igor Olivier Ezendam
Singer, multi-instrumentalist and voice coach, Igor is a specialist of overtone singing or vocal harmonics. He gives concerts accompanying himself with a variety of ethnic musical instruments. Together with his companion Arianna he offers workshops, musical events and individual sessions, traveling to seminars and festivals in Italy, Europe and Asia. He has recorded several CDs as a soloist and with other artists with dozens of music videos on Youtube. |
